Impact Sun Valley Adds Outerbike
CrankTank will build upon the success of its inaugural Impact Sun Valley Media Summit by adding a consumer facing Outerbike weekend event in 2019.
CrankTank first launched its media event series in 2017. Impact Kona as it was dubbed, provided a crucial touchpoint for endemic triathlon brands to communicate directly with media and consumers at the world championships in Kona, Hawaii, the biggest event in the triathlon world. Impact Sun Valley 2018 created a marketplace for brands to get one-on-one time with attending editors, but it lacked the ancillary consumer component. That all changes for 2019.
More Impact for Brands
By adding a consumer element to the media event, Impact can now offer more value to attending brands. The appeal of introducing editors to new products is a draw in itself, but the bonus of then being able to unveil them for the buying public at the same venue only days apart is a huge win. This is especially crucial in our current ‘buy now’ direct-to-consumer economy that is driven by nearly instantaneous digital journalism and crowd sourced reviews.
Impacted by Feedback
“We’ve gathered a lot of feedback from brands in building our Impact Sun Valley media summit,” said CrankTank Vice President Adrian Montgomery. “And many have also told us that they would value an additional consumer facing element to allow potential customers to demo new products for driving crowd sourced reviews and sales. Bringing Impact and Outerbike together checks all those boxes.”
“Western Spirit provides experiences for riders of all types, both at our Outerbike events and on our weekly trips in 15 states across the country from March to November. CrankTank’s media capabilities bring an additional dimension—a win win for both companies,” said Western Spirit CEO and Outerbike founder Ashley Korenblat. “Joining CrankTank and Outerbike in Sun Valley next summer will bring more values to our exhibitors and our participants.”
Save the Dates
The media facing Impact Sun Valley event is scheduled for June 19-20, 2019, and Outerbike will follow up with a full weekend of fun June 21-23.
