Hey everyone, Adrian Montgomery here with a friendly PSA: Resist the urge to tinker with any shiny new features from Shopify, Google, Meta, or Klaviyo in the lead-up to Black Friday Cyber Monday (BFCM)!
I know it’s tempting. Those notification bells and emails announcing the latest and greatest updates can be hard to ignore. But trust me, now is NOT the time to experiment. Here’s why:
1. Bug City! 🐛
Many platforms have just rolled out a bunch of “new for Q4” features. While these updates might offer cool new functionalities in the long run, they’re often riddled with bugs in the early days. The last thing you want is to break your meticulously crafted setup right before the biggest shopping week of the year. Imagine a critical integration failing or a key automation going haywire just as BFCM traffic hits. Ouch!
2. Stick to the Plan! 🎯
Remember all those hours we spent planning your BFCM strategy? We carefully considered your existing tools, integrations, and workflows to create a roadmap for success. Introducing new features now throws a wrench into those plans. It’s like changing the game plan mid-match. Let’s stay focused on what we know works and avoid any unnecessary surprises.
Bottom line: Don’t touch those tempting “Enable” buttons! Instead, forward any emails with CTA buttons for new features directly to me. I’ll assess them and determine if they’re worth exploring after the BFCM madness subsides.
Let’s prioritize stability and execution during this critical period. By sticking to our plan and resisting the allure of shiny new objects, we’ll maximize your BFCM success!
